We plan features for the next immediate release and work towards it. Post augmented maps 0.7, we plan to release frequently and regularly. The latest code base is available available on the social coding site github.

We have 32 months from Nov 2010 to June 2013 in which to build the portal and a community for the long-term sustainability of the portal. During this period the portal and its features will be under active development with periodic updates of features and data. The work is organized into three main components. (a) Data Curation (b) Participation and community building around the portal and (c) Platform development.

During the project period we will seed the portal with well curated data on as many aspects of biodiversity as we can. We will build features on the portal based upon your requirements and driven by the user community on the portal. We will regularly update the portal with data download features as and when they are ready. We will be transparent about the timelines and features that will come up on the portal.
